With over 40 years of combined experience, the founders of Stepping Stones Early Childhood Center have been supporting children and families to be their very best! And we’d love to do the same for yours! We serve all age groups from 6 weeks to 12 years. Our center is held to high standards of safety and cleanliness to keep your family and ours happy and healthy.

Dr. Naveeda

Director

Ms. Naveeda grew up in Pakistan and moved to the Chicago area in 1970. She completed her studies at Northern Illinois University with a Doctorate in Education.

Dr. Tayya Athar

Director

Ms. Tayya grew up just down the street from the center. She completed her studies here in Illinois and still lives in the area.

Ms. Shazia

Assistant Director

My name is Shazia Mannan, and I am working as an Assistant Director. I love working with children and families.

Welcome! I’m Ms Nelly I’m a devoted preschool teacher assistant with a heart for young children, a strong faith, and a deep love for family.

My name is Tamarah. I joined Stepping in 2024 because I love working with children. I enjoy supporting them and I have previous experience as a teacher.

My name is Ms. Yisel. I am a passionate childcare worker with over two years of experience in the infant room. I joined the Stepping Stones in May 2025.
